Child Care

Childcare is the act of caring for and supervising minor children. In Australia, daycare is referred to as childcare It is traditional in western society for children to be looked after by one or both of their parents, but the need for two-job households means that childcare is often delegated, at least part of the time, to childminders or crèches. Most Western countries also have compulsory education, and during the time the children are at school, the school will act in loco parentis.Where parents are missing or dead, or unable or unfit to care for children, state agencies such as social services may take on the childcare role.Wealthy people who prefer the services of professionals may delegate the parental role almost completely to nannies.

However, for many the use of paid childcare is a matter of choice with arguments raging on both sides about whether children suffer or not. There is no doubt that for all children the first few years are vitally important to form a basis for good education, morality, self-discipline and social integration. Consistency of approach, skills and qualifications of careers and community ownership have been shown in many studies to improve the chances of a child reaching his or her full potential for example a recent study in Australia showed that 20% of careers working in large commercial child care chains would not put their own children in the centre they work in, whereas only 2% of careers in community owned not-for-profit centres had similar concerns.

Ethics

Ethics (from the Ancient Greek ἠθικός ēthikos, the adjective of ἤθος ēthos "custom, habit"), a major branch of philosophy, is the study of values and customs of a person or group. It covers the analysis and employment of concepts such as right and wrong, good and evil, and responsibility. It is divided into three primary areas: meta-ethics (the study of the concept of ethics), normative ethics (the study of how to determine ethical values), and applied ethics (the study of the use of ethical values There are two main strands of thought, "non-realism" and "realism," that attempt to explain what ethical values and claims are actually about.
One strand is commonly termed 'non-realism', because it suggests moral values are creations, dependent on people's feelings and goals regarding themselves and others (emotivism or prescriptivism) or on their belief systems (cultural or individual relativism). Despite the name 'non-realist', such theories may see reality as important in shaping the human choice of ethical values. This could occur indirectly by, for example, the evolutionary or developmental shaping of human psychology, or directly through, for example, people assessing and debating the likely consequences of their actions.
Another group of meta-ethical theories, which is called 'realism', by contrast, holds that moral value is somehow an intrinsic property of the world and that ethical principles are simply discovered or intuited. Under this view, ethical values held by people can at best reflect an independent Truth by which their validity must be judged. These theories may be derived from theology or naturalism.
Although not explicitly reflected in the discussion that follows, any informed ethics discussion will consider the meta-ethical position of the participants in the discussion. The importance of this distinction can be seen clearly when we consider ethics in psychology (below), in which Lawrence Kohlberg's clearly realist theory might be contrasted against Phil Roberts, Jr.'s arguably non-realist theory. Any ethics discussion that does not first consider the non-realist or realist standings of its participants is doomed to frustration.

Economy

Economy refers to the human activities related with the production, distribution, exchange, and consumption of goods and services. However, its definition transformed throughout history with the activities attributed to economy. The composition of a given economy is inseparable from civilization's history and social organization, and from Earth's geography and ecology, e.g. ecoregions which represent different agricultural and resource extraction opportunities, among other factors.
The fields of study exploring, registering and describing the economy or a part of it, belong in general to the social sciences and include economics as well as branches of history (economic history) or geography (economic geography). Subgroups of economics are macroeconomics, microeconomics, econometrics, national economy, political economy, classical economy, economic anthropology, economic democracy and more. Economic measures such as the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) are part of econometrics. Practical fields more directly related to the human activities involving production, distribution, exchange, and consumption of goods and services as a whole, range from engineering to management and business administration to applied science to finance. Consumption, saving and investment, are core variable components in the economy and determine equilibrium in the markets. There are three main sectors of economic activity: primary, secondary and tertiary.

Fashion and the media

An important part of fashion is fashion journalism. At the beginning of the twentieth century, fashion magazines began to include photographs and became even more powerful than in the past. In cities throughout the world these magazines were greatly sought-after and had a profound effect on public taste. Talented illustrators drew exquisite fashion plates for the publications which covered the latest developments in fashion and beauty. Perhaps the most famous of these magazines was La Gazette du bon ton which was founded in 1912 by Lucien Vogel and regularly published until 1925.

Debenture

In finance, a debenture is a long-term debt instrument used by governments and large companies to obtain funds. It is similar to a bond except the securitization conditions are different. A debenture is usually unsecured in the sense that there are no liens or pledges on specific assets. It is however, secured by all properties not or else pledged. In the case of bankruptcy debenture holders are considered general creditors.

The benefit of debentures to the issuer is they leave specific assets tangential, and thereby leave them open for subsequent financing.

Geography of Bhutan

The northern region consists of an arc of glaciated mountain peaks with a very high cold climate at the highest elevations. Most peaks in the north are over 23,000 feet above sea level; the highest point is claimed to be the Kula Kangri, at 24,780 feet, but detailed topographic studies claim Kula Kangri is wholly in Tibet and modern Chinese measurements claim that Gangkhar Puensum, which has the peculiarity of being the highest unclimbed mountain in the world, is higher at 24,835 feet. Watered by snow-fed rivers, alpine valleys in this region provide pasture for livestock, tended by a sparse population of migratory shepherds. The Black Mountains in central Bhutan form a watershed between two major river systems i.e. Mo Chhu and Drangme Chhu. Peaks in the Black Mountains range between 4,900 feet and 8,900 feet above sea level, and fast-flowing rivers have carved out deep gorges in the lower mountain areas. Woodlands of the central region offer most of Bhutan's forest production. The Torsa, Raidak, Sankosh, and Manas are the main rivers of Bhutan, flowing through this region. Most of the people live in the central highlands.

Culture

The word culture, from the Latin colo, -ere, with its root meaning "to cultivate", generally refers to patterns of human activity and the symbolic structures that give such activity significance. Different definitions of "culture" reflect different theoretical bases for understanding, or criteria for evaluating, human activity. This capacity is long been taken as a defining feature of the genus Homo. However, primatologists such as Jane Goodall have identified aspects of culture among human's closest relatives in the animal kingdom. Similarly, it has recently been determined that the Orca pods have culture specific vocalizations and tastes for food. Orcas used in theme parks are exclusively from pods that oth the Barbarians and the Populace respectively.

Coyote

The coyote is a member of the Canada (dog) family and a relation of the domestic dog. Coyotes are native to North America and are only found from Canada south to Costa Rica. European explorers initial encountered these canines during their travels in the American Southwest. They may infrequently assemble in small packs, but naturally hunt alone. Coyotes live a standard of about 6 to 10 years. The word "coyote" was borrowed from Mexican Spanish, which itself borrowed the phrase from the Náhuatl (Aztec) word cóyotl which may have meant "singing dog".

Despite being lengthily hunted, the coyote is one of the few medium-to-large-sized animals that has distended its territory since human encroachment began (another is the raccoon). Coyotes have moved into the majority of the areas of North America formerly engaged by wolves, and the "dog" observed foraging in a suburban trashcan may in fact be a coyote.

The coyote stands fewer than 0.6 meters (2 feet) tall and varies in color from white-gray to tan with occasionally a reddish tint to its coat. A coyote's ears and nose show long and pointed, particularly in relation to the size of its head. It weighs between 9 and 22 kilograms (20 - 50 lb), averaging 14 kg (31 lb). The coyote can be recognized by its thick bushy tail, which it often holds low to the ground. It can be illustrious from its much larger relative, the Gray Wolf, by its overall slight look compared to the massive size and stockiness of the bigger canid, which classically weighs 34 to 57 kg (74 to 125 lb). The coyote is an extremely lean animal and may appear underfed even if healthy.

The northeast coyote and the Cape Cod coyote are consideration to be a 50% mix with the Red Wolf. Coyotes can also hybridize and create fertile offspring with Gray Wolves and domestic dogs. However, sensible constraints such as the timing of estrus cycles and the need for both parents to care for the pup’s boundary such crosses in the wild. Hybrids between coyotes and domestic dogs are known as "Coydogs"

Infrared

Infrared (IR) emission is electromagnetic emission of a wavelength longer than that of noticeable light, but shorter than that of radio waves. The name means "below red" (from the Latin infra, "below"), red being the color of detectable light of longest wavelength. Infrared radiation spans three instructions of magnitude and has wavelengthsbetween about 750 nm and 1 mm.

These divisions are suitable by the different human response to thisradiation: near infrared is the area closest in wavelength to theradiation detectable by the human eye, mid and far infrared aregradually further from the visible regime. Other definitions followdifferent physical mechanisms (emission peaks, vs. bands, waterabsorption) and the newest follow technical reasons (The commonsilicon detectors are sensitive to about 1,050 nm, while Inga Assensitivity starts around 950 nm and ends between 1,700 and 2,600 nm,depending on the specific configuration). Unfortunately theinternational standards for these specifications are not currentlyobtainable.

The boundary between visible and infrared light is not preciselydefined. The human eye is markedly less responsive to light above 700nm wavelength, so longer frequencies make irrelevant contributions toscenes illuminated by common light sources. But particularly stronglight (e.g., from lasers, or from bright daylight with the visiblelight removed by colored gels) can be detected up to approximately780 nm, and will be apparent as red light. The onset of infrared isdefined (according to different standards) at different valuestypically between 700 nm and 780 nm.

Insurance Contract Principles

A property or liability insurance policy is a "personal contract," a "conditional contract," a "unilateral contract," a "contract of adhesion," a "contract of indemnity," and a contract which requires that the person insured have an insurable interest at the time of the insured-against contingency.

Further: An Insurance Contract is one of Uberrima fides. This is a Latin phrase meaning "utmost good faith" . It is the name of a legal doctrine which governs insurance contracts. This means that all parties to an insurance contract must deal in utmost good faith, making a full declaration of all material facts in the insurance proposal. Under utmost good faith contracts if there is a violation it is categorized as a material misrepresentation, a breach of a warranty, or a concealment. Insureds can also go after insurers for a breach of utmost good faith. Normal business contracts are "good faith contracts" and can result in contract enforcement, monetary damages or both. If the contract cannot be performed or is unconsionable, the contract can be set aside. This contrasts with the legal doctrine of caveat emptor . Caveat emptor does not come into play in insurance contracts. The buyer does have an obligation to read the contract and if is not understood to ask the sales agent to explain. It is best to get the explanations in writing.

Seiche

A seiche (pronounced say'sh) is a standing wave in an enclosed or partially enclosed body of water. Seiches and seiche-related phenomena have been observed on lakes, reservoirs, bays and seas. The key requirement for formation of a seiche is that the body of water be at least partially bounded, allowing natural phenomena to form a standing wave.

The term was first promoted by the Swiss hydrologist François-Alphonse Forel in 1890, who had observed the effect in Lake Geneva, Switzerland. The word originates in a Swiss French dialect word that means "to sway back and forth", which had apparently long been used in the region to describe oscillations in alpine lakes.

Small rhythmic seiches are almost always present on larger lakes. On the North American Great Lakes, seiche is often called slosh. It is always present, but is usually unnoticeable, except during periods of unusual calm. Harbours, bays, and estuaries are often prone to small seiches with amplitudes of a few centimeters and periods of a few minutes. Seiches can also form in semi-enclosed seas; the North Sea often experiences a lengthwise seiche with a period of about 36 hours.

Vacation Villas

A villa is a luxurious house built for the upper class people of Rome. An ancient author and Natural philosopher Mr. Pliny describes more in writtings about the Roman villas of the empire. He categorises the villas as two types they are the villa urbana and villa rustica. The villa urbana was a country seat which could easily be reached within a night or two from the Rome or another city. And the villa rustica is the farm house estate. These farm house estates are permanently occupied by the servants who had charge generally of the estate, which would center on the villa itself, perhaps these villas are seasonally occupied.

The dwelling quarters, consisting of several low buildings, included recreation facilities and lodgings for the servants. The villa rustica, which is the farmhouse type, had barns, orchards, and vineyards, and the villa urbana type which are used as a pleasure retreat had the incidental garden architecture adorned with fountains and sculptures.

There are other villas that originated during different periods like post-roman villas, renaissance villas, Palladio’s villas, English villas and modern villas.
